Wouldn’t it be grand to go there, in the real world of this painted scenery on this Japanese wall pocket…blossoms like snowdrops but on a sunny or slight-overcast day; foliage, lavishly green; a lustrous flowing brook of water—

If we could just make-believe for a moment that we are there. A sacred building.

“A beautiful mind”; I purposely rephrase said statement: a beautiful soul of a projective sound mind.

To fill the wall pocket planter:

Holly berries in green stage, slowly turning red for the upcoming late part of Fall into Winter; straight up through Christmas.

Keep (toxic) berries away from small children and pets–a reminder.

Hummingbirds love these petite fire engine-red hibiscus blooms of Turk’s Cap Mallow. This vibrant flowering perennial is also known as Sleeping Hibiscus, Wax Mallow, and Cardinal’s Hat.

A young Japanese Tassel fern stem of fine fronds; a tropical evergreen. The stems on these ferns darken into a reddish hue as each ‘paddle’ of leaves grow larger into the next season.

Lucky Charm Boxwood–perhaps so.

Identically similar to other plants in the shrub family.

Festive Holly-

So many, many kinds of this Christmas plant that is every bit an all-season, every-season hearty plant.

Let’s call them all “Christmas-festive” (’cause we can).

Ta-da!

“Junk jewelry” has current trending power–the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

They thought our grandmothers wore the “gawdy” jewelry–think again–it’s us.

They knew what was cool all along.

We re-live it.

These Golden Girls pretties never really went out of style.

Good vibe, bright-color memories.

An owl necklace with a long chain–still a hoot.

This bird flies freely, also, on a long chain.

The young wear these now, these hard plastic beads on a thread string; straight out of the ’70s.

Still a comfort-feel in the fingers.

This may not be vintage/as vintage as the other pieces, but it has the style with more aging to do; a Mexican flare.

USA MIRRO rolls/bread warmer works great as a cookie saver.

This will be fun to wear in the Autumn time, for sure.
