The Ornaments of Summer

September 21, 2019 By Susan C. Kussman Miller Leave a Comment

How beautiful are the ornaments of summer, the ornate hues of many colors ~

[Brown Turkey Fig]

~ glistening through the trees swaying…

~ with strong branches on which to dangle to and fro–keeping time with the breeze that moves them!

They tell of their lovely blooms in early season, a profound mystery all its own.

In each center appears the tiny-sized fruit developing into an emerald green until it reaches maturity ~

The dainty white or colorful flowers say ode to their trees,

…cascading to the ground!

In summer months, the fruits of various trees put on their robes of many colors,

~ no two the same!

Ready to pick for their luscious and flavorful fruits for our table.

Some in early stages making lovely fruits…

[Red Haven Peach]

~ while some falling to the ground…

And in the mornings, the Lights from God’s Throne filtering through the trees and even in the afternoons… the Lights and the shadows dancing across them–

Giving God the Glory, as He created it all!

[Prickly Pear Cactus]

Just a little story to back up this picture of Almighty God having the Power to bless us! He expects us [as His children] to bear much fruit for His Kingdom!

[Concord Grape]

If His children do not, then He prunes our branches in order to bear more fruit for His Glory, Honor, and Praise!

[Mulberry]
[Cherry]

No matter how small [or big] God’s orchard is, His loving care is always there as He watches over His orchard; to show to us how deep and wide His love is for us, and how much He cares!

So when you see those lovely fruits [upon the trees], take some moments to take in the intricate beauty–of only what God could design–

When you pluck the fruits, may each one represent each blessing that the Lord Jesus sent your way in your lifetime!

May you see the fruits as gems representing all awaiting us in Heaven that we can only imagine! An awesome thought on which to ponder!

May our Lord Jesus Christ be praised for His Creation! Amen and Amen ~
