French Breakfast Puffs ~
~ adapted from Taste of Home ~
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat shortening and 1/2 cup of the sugar and egg
until smooth. Combine dry ingredients except for the cinnamon and remaining sugar; add to make batter, alternate with milk. Spoon into muffin cups/tins two-thirds full; bake 20 minutes.
Dip tops into melted butter, then into the rest of the sugar along with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
