Ham & Cheese Strata ~

Whisk 10 eggs,
2 1/2 cups whole milk,
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon salt.
Break up the paprika.
Cut 1 loaf of bread into 1-inch cubes; put half in the bottom of the baking dish.
Weigh 1/2 pound of baked ham, slice it and cut into pieces–
Place over the bread cubes.
Chop scallions to equal 1/4 cup to be added over the ham along with
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded. Process will repeat…
Add the rest of the bread, 1/2 pound ham pieces, 1/4 cup chopped scallions, 4 more ounces of shredded sharp cheddar.
Pour egg mixture all over the strata, refrigerate overnight.
The following day, take out of the ‘frig and let stand in room temperature for 15 minutes while the oven preheats to 350 degrees F. Cook for at least 1 hour, uncovered. Wait 5 minutes before eating, once it has been baked.
