A vibrant red this is, with light coming through the glass like the light through a stained glass window.
Warms the chest huriedly, so do not drink much of this. Better, yet–mix this with something else or bake with it, this Berry Liquor. Here’s the recipe:
Berry Liquor~
-from the Best of Food & Wine-
2 cups fresh raspberries
15 whole black peppercorns
2 cups gin or vodka
Drop the raspberries and peppercorns in a 1-quart glass jar. Pour in the gin or vodka. Place lid and ring on the jar; let set undisturbed at room temperature for 5 days. The color and flavor will be extracted from the berries.
Following the five days, strain the liquid through a fine seive. Discard the raspberries and peppercorns; serve over ice.
