Whitezilla Rose Collection

exclusively Skirt in the Kitchen
It’s about the spooks in skirts, the skeletal women in the kitchen.  Eye sockets are painted with bright blue nail polish; white grapes cut off old Christmas ornaments stuck into the cavities for eyeballs.  The skulls are styrofoam in need of additions.  The hair?– ‘angel hair’ that is made for Christmas trees and angels’ wings.  I started off with having only an interior base from a spring form/angel food cake pan.  Most of the Skirt in the Kitchen Halloween characters are originated from cake pans and kitchen accessories.   Adornments are from leftover supplies and remnants, even off old things that needed repairing.  Feathers come in handy, always leaving an elegant touch.  The roses are dried, each petal hot-glued.  OPI white crackle polish works well for the teeth.  Gawdy jewelry doesn’t look so bad on these ladies– they need some bling.  Each one wears a rose of some kind.

Each one is different and uniquely designed.  My favorite aspect of this?– shopping for the wigs then deciding which one will wear what!

The hair on this one is made from newspaper.  Cheesecloth has always been and still is a mainstay.
