Meat String Calendar Hanger

Skirt in the Kitchen

I’m putting together a 2014 calendar for what?– “For my kids’ craft room” again, something for this room again.  But more than that, extras are printed and made into these cute rascals for their grandmothers for Christmas.  My kids think it’s a big deal since it’s Thomas the Tank Engine with their pictures on A Day Out With Thomas.  They might be right, it might be a big deal and I just don’t know it.

If you don’t have a hole punch or it’s lost or the spring has sprung and does not work, you can use an ice pick to slowly punch out the holes on the corners.  Make somewhat of a tassel at the top of the string where it hangs from a nail or a push pin after it’s knotted.
Cute buttons glued to each corner at the top make this a finished product.  And of course, as always, the classic meat string comes in handy and gives it a simple but nice touch.  It’s child’s play.  The only thing that took a chunk of my time was deciding on the pictures and format in which to design it.
