It’s a “whiskers” kind of day. Rosella is being a rascally kitty-kat. Her “twin” brother, Roman, has seemingly decided to take a long winter’s nap. I suppose she’s got to do double-time leaping and darting ‘cross floors, pouncing and tackling objects. She’s got mischief written all over her face.
She prefers jumping up, balancing perfectly, resting and looking out the window from a higher vantage point and then gradually falling asleep to “nap” on the “cafe curtains” in the kids’ arts and crafts room. “Get down, Rosella!” She knows better, just look at her. She’s listening well but not following orders. If you haven’t noticed already, she likes having her picture taken.
Snow fell days prior. Some autumn leaves were still on tree limbs.
Flakes were splattering against window panes. I don’t know about you, but I get a warm cozy feeling when I see this begin to happen, when the house is warm and it starts to snow. All I want is everyone home at this time, hot food prepared, the laundry done up, and no chances of pipes bursting from any accumulation of ice. I don’t want to have to worry about my loved ones on the roads. I want snow without ice, no sleet.
I still cooked with my rosemary. I cut sprigs from underneath and they were very green and fragrant.
My little girl loves getting into my jewelry, even the good stuff. I don’t have to wait for when she’s a teenager; she already tries to wear my high heels around the house– truly a rose-colored moment.
Turn on a light, thoroughly be in the moment. Make a rose-colored memory.
