To warm the bones or just the sore legs on a cool Fall day… for brunch or late in the afternoon? Be sure to sip this sweet whipped cream with each and every swollow of strong coffee spiked for an occasional spur of the moment.
Gingered Whiskey Coffee recipe~

2 tablespoons chopped peeled fresh gingerroot
6 ounces whiskey
About 2 1/2 cups freshly brewed coffee
1/3 cup heavy cream, whipped–
In a small bowl, soak the ginger in the whiskey overnight.
Strain out the ginger in the morning, reserving the whiskey. Divide whiskey evenly among four coffee cups; can split the recipe in half for two people instead of four… Fill the cups with coffee and top with a dollop of homemade whipped cream which is more worth it. No need for store-bought, any time…

Chill bowl and beaters for at least 15 minutes in the freezer before use. Whip by mixer 1 cup heavy cream and 2 tablespoons sugar until soft slight peaks form… oh, so good.
