It’s Rose-Honey Ham from the Don Juan roses of last summer that I put into honey.
Cut some good smoked ham into thick steaks.
Whisk or beat 1 or 2 eggs.
First, dip dry steaks into flour, then into frothy egg, and back into flour to fry in hot oil. Season with your choice of spice, salt and pepper.
Immediately drizzle the rose-honey over the hot fried ham steaks. The honey melts into the ham juice.
It’s good with fresh mint, too.
