Playin’ in Pink

October 6, 2016 By Susan Nuyt Leave a Comment

Say it isn’t so… ouch—

The last time I was here typing my gut out to you was in the Spring, Father’s Day.  Fan base totaled 5,560-74?-to now a significant low of 1,523 even though the higher number is regarded as a “low” in the blogging industry.

I spent the summer playing in makeup, traveling a bit, exercising my limits, and discovering beautiful possibilities.  I put down my camera for a while, stopped blogging, including my love for gardening… I dabbled my way into Mary Kay.  To concentrate on beginning my newfound excitement of skincare and cosmetics, I basically turned aback not knowing how to juggle it all…

Well, I’m here!  I’m back!  I’ve missed you!!  {Little bit does it.}  I’ll slip into my comfortable shoes and warmly open my door to you.  You’re worth it, you make my heart go pitter-patter.

I want the Fall pastries on the table.  I have yet to go apple picking with my kids.  I have a long list before me.  Cupcakes have to be baked and filled, then frosted creepy.  I have grotesque green mold-looking grub to cook like worms on a black and white plate.  I don’t give reverence to or believe in ghosts but I’ll pretend they exist when I bake ghost cookies for the younger bunch.  I love bats and spiders!  I’m “crazy” and eclectic, hard-wired and driven, so I’m back home baking while still playing in pink.

Give me a few days, possibly a week to lay everything out just so.  Business still has to be business while I get acquainted again with the art of taking pretty pictures, writing, and even turning this into profit while enjoying my first love to the fullest.  I love both worlds, my Mary Kay world and this world once-upon-a-time magically created, Skirt in the Kitchen…

So my hat is off to you.  Thanks for hanging around when I seemed to have blocked you.  You’re never too much.

Happy Fall!
