Mean Sloppy Joes

IMG_9966 sloppy joes.jpg Mean Sloppy Joes, exclusively Skirt in the Kitchen

I want a mean sloppy joe, not a wimpy loose burger of ground beef falling out amidst hearty beans that is bland.  Give me deep spicy, bold, flavor.  Make my tongue bite.  Rake it across my teeth and explode in my mouth.  I want heat.  I want anger in my breath after I’ve devoured such a beast of a sandwich that contains a cow’s meat that is tempered with hot pepper and underlining taste that is just as mean as I can get.

For the back-flavor, caramelize chopped onion, jalapenos, and largely chopped garlic.  Do not spare on the garlic, don’t be afraid of it.  Let it be as present as the coarsely chopped jalapenos that are included.  Make it a fireball.  Salt and pepper the skillet combination.  Drain off the grease at this point now that the veggies are cooked.IMG_9967 sloppy joes.jpg   Add lean ground beef so you don’t have a puddle of liquid in the pan after it’s browned.  Remove any accumulative amount of liquid. You began with the bacon grease for an added fat flavor, remember?

Stir in a can of this brand of beans if you’re going for the best:  Bush’s Grillin’ Beans Steakhouse Recipe.IMG_9968 sloppy joes.jpgIMG_9969 sloppy joes.jpg Add accordingly to taste, Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce, classic yellow mustard, and Frank’s Red Hot Original sauce.IMG_9972 sloppy joes.jpg Will you be having dill pickles on your sloppy joe, or dill jalapenos?IMG_9974 sloppy joes.jpgI’ll go with pickles.IMG_9975 sloppy joes.jpg
