I want a mean sloppy joe, not a wimpy loose burger of ground beef falling out amidst hearty beans that is bland. Give me deep spicy, bold, flavor. Make my tongue bite. Rake it across my teeth and explode in my mouth. I want heat. I want anger in my breath after I’ve devoured such a beast of a sandwich that contains a cow’s meat that is tempered with hot pepper and underlining taste that is just as mean as I can get.
For the back-flavor, caramelize chopped onion, jalapenos, and largely chopped garlic.  Do not spare on the garlic, don’t be afraid of it.  Let it be as present as the coarsely chopped jalapenos that are included.  Make it a fireball.  Salt and pepper the skillet combination.  Drain off the grease at this point now that the veggies are cooked.
Stir in a can of this brand of beans if you’re going for the best:  Bush’s Grillin’ Beans Steakhouse Recipe.
