These are fantastic to have. Even though they work great on duct tape, they are for glassware, too, but if you’re not using it again for cookware. If you plan to do so, bake or cook something in the dishes, purchase and use the Pebeo brand markers– They shouldn’t wash or wear off.
Write down a recipe or sign your name on a dish that you want back in your good graces after a get-together somewhere. Have you gone places, taken a great dish of food, someone left with it early and then you lost your breakable forever? They used to write their names on masking tape, stick it to the bottom of a dish and hope it stayed there through a washing at the church or at grandma’s house. Sometimes there were look-alikes, bowls of the same make and color, but one would have a crack or chip– yours without the chip would get gone. This is a good way to keep track of your glassware even if you just sign your name. It could make a useful gift.
And if you want to do a little more, something on the creative side, put ink over ink, large blots, small ones, layer upon layer and have some fun in the bottom of a pie plate. This will work for serving cookies and brownies when out of the pan.
