Skirt in the Kitchen
It’s a store-bought cake with some of her favorite things washed and placed as toppers. I had these hidden, purchased long ago, then forgot I had them.
But that’s her brother’s horse (hope he doesn’t mind)!
It’s old-fashioned looking, and it’s a girl’s cake– my little girl’s.

List of animals: a snail, raccoon, skunk, seal, 2 dogs, horse, piggy, and a band of butterflies. Certainly I would have enjoyed baking her a red velvet cake from scratch but she had just as much fun with this one. I think it matters to us moms about all the details– They just want a cake.
The need for foundation on a hectic day… It’s meant to be crazy and fun– always on a birthday.
