Rose-Colored Glasses (17)

September 19, 2013 By Susan Nuyt Leave a Comment

It’s a celebration, and “one to grow on”.  Let the candles light a room.
One of the joys of childhood– catching a grasshopper for a jar,
then releasing it into its wild.
Nature and light,
a purpose and a plan…
having great ambition to explore, learn, to live each moment.
The business of a spider and the perfection of its string– strong and mighty, even beautiful to behold.
The new Martha Stewart Living magazines filled with remarkable ideas and recipes for Halloween and Fall– always a treat.
I can imagine my mother dressing up like this for my children on Halloween.  Seriously, I can.
I adore this photo, this costume idea of Repunzel’s long braid crafted out of rope.
The big heads are cool.
Halloween isn’t just for kids even though it’s mainly for them.
On page 33, an interesting concept of crafting acorns created out of felted marino wool and acorn caps is featured.

Get blown away in the moments,

be irresistible,

allow creative juices to flow.

Focus on dreams that drive, fervently working towards goals.
It’s a wasps’ nest made from a Blue Hubbard squash– I will be doing this for my kids.  They’ll enjoy sticking rubber wasps over a well-crafted hive.
The ‘hoot’ of owls– the glamour, art, and elegance of their patterned wings…
Let’s bake some cupcakes.
Get started on a pantry of goodies to stuff into Halloween baggies of decorated sugar cookies.

Seek the rose-colored moments of your day with those around you for all seasons to explore and enjoy.
