Not My Husband’s Blog

January 12, 2013 By Susan Nuyt Leave a Comment

This is the wife “who wears the pants” according to some people.  I wish I did wear the pants as often as I wear a skirt– then I probably would have a pretty rosy life.  This skirt belongs to my set of hips, this is my blog.  It’s my blog about my family, my children, myself.  Once in a while, as rare as it is, I will feature my rascally husband.  Momentarily, it’s about him, not leaving him out– I’ve even featured my constantly interfering, nagging and complaining in-laws– KIDDING! (or even if you’ve got judgment from who you grew up from kind-of-family who thinks you don’t deserve anything that you’ve worked hard for– kidding?– Lol)– just stating a fact that I had to go get something of my own like any woman ought to/would do.  You can have your heart in the right place and still get disrespected and hated for it.  Don’t put up and shut up forever, you have your own voice and will to make your own decisions.

You’ve got to own something that is not considered your husband’s according to his people, according to him, according to the entire world.  It may not be great in your critics’ eyes, but you know it is in yours and in the other sets of eyes of people who really know your heart, who know that you’re incredible no matter where you are and who you are– you’re incredible, don’t let them convince you that you’re not.  It’s your life, live it despite the vindictive jealous brats of the world outside your door.
