Crock Pot Herb Turkey

December 29, 2011 By Susan Nuyt 2 Comments

Crock Pot Herb Turkey ~
~ adapted from Kelsey Nixon ~
Rough-chop 1 large white onion and cover the bottom of a crock pot with its pieces.
Finely chop rosemary to equal 1 tablespoon.
Mix 3 tablespoons softened unsalted butter with the rosemary and 1 tablespoon thyme.
Pour 1/2 cup chicken broth over the onions.
Add 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce.
Dry with a paper towel, exterior of meat.  Salt and pepper all sides of the turkey meat.  With the herb butter, place half the butter inside the turkey breast; lather all of the outside with remaining herb butter.  Place the meat on the bed of onions and slow-cook for 4-6 hours.
Amazingly tender, wonderful aroma, good flavor…
