Mushroom-Jack Beef Burger ~
~ Skirt in the Kitchen ~
Keeping it basic, simple– without sauces– gives this the best combination of flavors deriving from the jalapeno-jack cheese/mushrooms/onions with white toasted bread. Sometimes the best is left alone without anything added…
Saute in olive oil with a pat of butter button-mushrooms and onion. Season with coarse black pepper and minced garlic, then set aside to fry beef patties…
Here’s what we used to season roughly 2 lbs. ground beef, mixing in well– 1/4 cup Kikkoman soy sauce, Grill Mates Montreal Steak seasoning.
As soon as patties are grilled/cooked, layer jalapeno-jack cheese to melt. If cheese does not melt right away, you can cover the plate of patties with a raised lid for a few seconds.
On toasted white sandwich bread, slowly pile mushrooms and onion over the beef and cheese burger.
Better/best without anything added but the essentials.
