Come take a walk with me through rose-colored glasses. Put on a pink lens, let’s walk into Spring. Open the door.
We’ll go up a long road and walk the afternoon away, no particular place to be but here–with you.
See purple blooms and clover, green grass and crop rows … white gravel under our feet.
We can make it a rose-colored world.
Let’s run in the pasture. I’ll race you in these heels.
The daffodils are in bloom. There’s red rust on the barn roof. There’s a purple blanket of cover to walk on to dream.
It’s rustic beauty,
the glory of nature in its playful colors…
What a beautiful world…
It’s rose-colored, and it’s our world.
Some call it a mystery, the life of a living thing–and of every plant that has a season… Let’s walk some more, the day belongs to us–God has placed it in our hands.
The trees have made a “V” in the woods.
The green is like a meadow, almost a green carpet.
Branches twist and stretch forth their wonder.
They have no worries, they are carefree. So are we… Do you see the burl, the knotted growth of grain in a festered clump? Its indifference has turned into a rare beauty of its own.
Could it be popcorn?! Gigantic dried blooms of a Yucca plant resemble popped kernels of our favorite snack.
So lovely and beautiful, even when spent…
Even this field needing tended–and this barn in the light of day… The sun loves to touch everything with a smile. What a day!
There’s an “X” mark in the sky where a kite could fly, where birds could stretch their wings like the trees…
We’ve been out here for hours, the day is getting away… Clouds are forming, they’re moving inward…
A bright golden sun is setting into orange…
The day wants to end, but we’re still here.
We walk with the sun, we live by the moon, and we kiss the ground with the years…
We’ll rejoice again, tomorrow, and be glad in one more day…
A day that the Lord gave us, a day that He provided…
even in darkness…
